![]() ![]() With 5 weapons, more in the works (I think), and something like 36 “levels” of extra challenge for each weapon, you can sink a lot of time into it.Įach weapon has multiple aspects that change their play style to varying degrees, and you get boons from the greek pantheon, some of which interact with each other wonderfully (and some others only available when you have boons from 2 specific gods), so even run throughs with the same weapon can vary wildly in style. “Hades” probably comes on the lower end of “100’s of hours” but I thoroughly enjoyed playing it, and was constantly shocked at what time it was when I finally decided to take a break. I would strongly suggest Sword of the Stars 1 not 2 or Alpha Centauri (with crossfire or not) if you don't care about the age of the game(s) but want to sink time in.Įdit: Just checked, Alpha Centauri is not available on Steam. I was recently introduced to the game by a friend wanting to MP and sunk about 50 hours into it before all of this became abundantly clear. Unrelated to the gameplay Stellaris preforms like shit on most peoples PC's after you get deep into the game on large maps. The influence mechanics specifically exist to prevent players from proactively seeking any sort of real dominance, the diplomatic options are so limited that they might as well not exist, and the game's war/conflict mechanics are pathetically stupid. It's a mediocre storytale dressed as a grand strategy game. Gonna be real here, I've played most of these and most of the are excellent titles.
